First Day In My New Job
Hi Folks,
Well today was the first day in my new job. I am working for Amey who are a bit like CSC and buy up support services. They got me working straight away and not just watching someone work. I dealt with time sheets, their facilities helpdesk, copytyping and other admin. stuff. They seemed to like me and they all seem very friendly, down to earth people. I am having to work the first two weeks as an agency worker and then I go permanent with them (it's just their way of getting rid of me if they think I am crap!) Tomorrow I'm learning their sick leave and absence procedures and on Wednesday I'll be dealing with the laundry orders! I'll let you know how I get on.

Wendy - Don't take this the wrong way but when they say you will be permanent in two weeks they mean that you can "stay there" after two weeks. As for the laundry duties , well I think what they mean is that if you s**t the bed during the night then you can "do the laundry duties"
LOL !!
It's nice to hear you are back in the saddle, so to say. I hope all is well for you in the land of employment, and that your husband is now having a nice rest after keeping you in the manner you have become accustomed to for all this time!
Permy Wendy, well done!
