ANOTHER ANIMAL HERO HAS LEFT US :o(
One of my heroes has passed away. His name was Jim Cronin and he founded Monkey World, an ape rescue centre in Dorset. His wife Alison is going to continue the brilliant work they did together saving apes from all over the world...All I can think that if there's a god that with him taking Steve Irwin away prematurely aswell that there must be lots of animals in heaven that need rescuing.

Another of life's heroes lost to us.
I saw him and his wife in the crowds when we visited Monkey World about 8 years ago. When they weren't busy they used to just walk amoungst the visitors just chatting. I never got to speak to either of them but they seemed really friendly and nice people.
I still haven't been to Monkey World yet I know the place so well as I've watched all the tv shows on Animal Plantet. I'd love to go and see it this year, perhaps in the Autumn.
Having been to Australia Zoo AFTER Steve Irwin got stung.... guess who'll be dragging round Monkey World in August?
Anyone got any zoo keepers that they don't like?
