~~Blackmores Night~~
I'm off to see the medieval/rock band Blackmore's Night at the end of October at Buxton Opera House. They are just my type of music. Candice Night the lead singer has a great voice and is inspired by Stevie Nicks. I'm so glad they're playing at such a small venue, I hate arena's.

Medieval rock band. Do they sound anything like Steeleye Span? (to me that would be a good thing)

They're alot more medieval sounding that Steeleye Span then old Ritchie Blackmore launches himself into a guitar solo !

I had a listen, probably a bit too "rocky" for me, but still, not bad. I like Steeleye's stuff because most of their songs are real folk songs, reworked. I fact some of them are actually medieval!

You must have been listening to one of their singles as they're much more commercial than alot of their other stuff. Their early stuff like Steeleye's stuff is medieval, sometimes too medieval !
